Since this title didn’t specifically say a photo from your ‘most recent’ weekend, I decided to use this picture from a FEW weekends ago. I’m not cheating, because I still took the picture. So take that, photo challenge.
You may remember that my husband and I took a trip to see the number one college football team in the nation play in their home stadium. That’s right…the Notre Dame Fighting Irish! They are playing in the national championship bowl game in January. My husband grew up a huge ND fan and it has been a dream of his to attend a game for a loooong time. I finally got him a set of tickets for his birthday this year and it just happened to be the greatest season ever! We had such a blast exploring the beautiful campus and watched an amazing football game. You can read more about our trip here.
This picture is of the old log chapel on Notre Dame’s campus. It is really neat and a very historic landmark for Indiana.
I would maybe love this picture a tad more if it had been during the early part of fall, when the leaves were more colorful and vibrant. I still love the colors of the scenery and the cabin is beautiful by itself, but I think a good landscape can always improve a picture. Either way, God is good and everything he has created is beautiful, which makes me want to give him ALL the glory that much more. I need to learn not to be so picky with my pictures.
I am learning new things every day and very grateful for that.
Does anyone else find Christmas lights absolutely beautiful? If not, you’re crazy. Or a scrooge. I, for one, think they are perfect during the winter season. If you live where I do, it gets dark way earlier than it should at this time of year and it’s usually cold and dreary and miserable (for the most part…minus last year when we had an unbelievable warm winter). Anyway, to the point I’m trying to make…there’s really no better way to cheer me up than to show me some vibrant Christmas lights.
I took this picture at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. I love this picture, because it not only captures a neat perspective of the trees, but look at that moon! Impressive. It’s amazing what you can do without the flash and with a steady hand. Looking forward to the rest of these challenges.
I’ll go ahead and say it now, these blog photo challenge posts may not always be consecutive days, but I can assure you they will at least be my next ten posts. So without further adue…here is my photo that makes me laugh.
I’m not sure why this picture makes me laugh, but it probably has something to do with the fact that my husband is at the bottom of a pile of a bunch of little rascals. I took this picture while we were playing a game called “keep away”, in which you do everything in your power to keep the football while others try to take it from you.
The nieces and nephews were finally able to take down the biggest “kid” playing the game and that was a proud accomplishment to them.
It was a beautiful day for pictures. I love the lighting in this picture and capturing some laughter. You can’t look a photo like this and not smile.
I feel like I’m learning new things about my DSLR camera everyday and I’m loving all of it. I’m looking forward to the rest of the challenges. It really has been fun and educational so far.
With it being the 21st century and all, we thought we’d get with the times a little and buy the DSLR camera we’ve been wanting for quite some time. Now that I’m trying to become all tech savvy, I decided to come up with a ten-day photo challenge for myself. Yes, I made that image above using Paint from my computer. So fancy.
I’m excited to learn more about my new camera and I think this challenge will really encourage me to understand all of the different things you can do with a DSLR. I’m not trying to become a professional photographer, I just find it to be a fun hobby.
I will start tomorrow. Join me in the challenge!!
